Coinciding with imm Cologne 2009, nanoo opened its new showroom at the Design Post in Cologne on 19 January 2009. The exhibition presented nanoo’s highlights for 2009 as well as the entire nanoo collection.

Unique showroom concept
The Design Post is a unique showroom concept for high-quality furnishing and modern design. Nearly 30 high-calibre collections from Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland are presented under one roof, displaying their latest living and furnishing trends. The showroom offers consumers, dealers, architects and planners an inspiring exhibition of international design brands from the living, work, lighting, textiles and outdoor fields all year round.

Doris Fratton has furnished the Anne-Sophie School with nan11 benches. The green-and-white benches are intended to remind students "more of recreation than of school", says Fratton, designer of the alternative school in Künzelsau, Germany. The Anne-Sophie School stands for individual, independent, targeted learning. It’s the perfect place for nan11. "Independent learning in the designed environment, in an atmosphere of respect" is one of the school’s fundamental principles. Education demands the right environment. The architecture of the new school buildings will fulfil this requirement, making the school a "place for relaxed, goal-oriented learning". Relaxed sitting and learning on nan11.
